Glynn House guests experience nightmare dinner at Weir’s Beach Lobster Pound! The wrong orders were finally delivered after a 90-minute wait! Rectifying incorrect orders added more time. When one diner realized she’d been served the wrong lobster item, I guess the lady was supposed to know the difference between a 2-pound and 1½-pound lobster, management implied she’d deliberately eaten part of her meal before alerting management. Children in the party only ordered hot dogs. The server wasn’t thoughtful enough to bring press the kitchen to accelerate delivery the children’s orders. Understandably, the children grew increasingly restless.
Management finally got involved. Their solution – chew out the waitperson in front of the entire restaurant. He also promised to partially ‘comp’ the party because of all the problems they’d experienced but couldn’t manage to deliver a correct bill. On the third attempt, the check was finally accurate.
Recently, our blog reported that Weirs Lobster Pound offered delicious lobster, adequate service, pleasant outdoor dining and a less than enthralling interior dining room. I’d like to believe the experience our guests shared this morning was a horrible exception. We hope readers who’ve also visited Weir’s Lobster Pound will share their experience.
Ouch!
